At the age of ten, Steve’s life took him to France, where his father stepped into the role of headmaster at the American School of Paris.
Weekends spent wandering vineyards and visiting cellars quietly awakened Steve’s curiosity. He may not have understood it then, but something enduring took root—the sense that the connection between people, food, and wine held a deeper, lasting meaning.
In her New Jersey home, Sundays were filled with football, the aroma of garlic, and laughter in the kitchen—her father’s unmistakable way of expressing love through food.
Years later in New York while working in restaurants, Jen rediscovered that same spark as she stepped into the world of fine dining and wine. With every table she served, she saw how food and wine brought people together—creating connection, warmth, and moments of joy.
When two paths crossed
Nine days into her new life in California, Jen met Steve at a simple backyard BBQ. He was gentle and charming; she was curious and free. Their bond deepened over long bike rides and meaningful conversations followed by delicious meals and wines. Soon, Napa became their sanctuary—a place of possibility, light, and effortless joy.
By the time they married, Napa had quietly become part of their story—a place where Steve felt at ease and Jen could see the energy and joy that defined him.
